How to Reset Administrator Password from a Reset or Recovery Disk?

A blocked administrator password on your computer can prevent you from logging into your PC, turning your expensive investment into a pile of plastic and silicone. Changing the administrator password on your system is possible by using a recovery disk with the option to crack the existing Windows password. 1. Download Ophcrack from its official site and then burn the downloaded file to a CD using any CD burning program.

2. Insert the disk containing the password cracker into your computer.

3. Restart the PC and press any key as the computer is loading to boot from CD.

4. Select the option to "Crack Password."

5. Input your new desired password and press "Enter" to change the password.

6. Remove the CD from your computer and restart the PC

Option 2: Reset disk with Windows Password Unlocker

1. Download and install Windows Password Unlocker Professional

2. Burn a bootable CD/DVD or USB to remove lost Windows password.

  1. If you have a reset disk you can reset with it directly. If you don't have you can create one. Through creating a disk to reset Windows password is indeed helpful method. I think the most important when you create a disk can be the software is safe or not. Normally, when you choose software to create the disk, most software you can see in Google may be all effective but cannot guarantee safe.
