How to Skip the Logon Screen in Windows XP?

If you are tired of entering a password and wish to automatically log on to your Windows XP computer whenever you need to access your computer, the following information you would like. You will be able to learn how to skip the logon screen in Windows XP by following the steps listed below.
Step 1.Click Start to select Run, and then type control userpasswords2 in the Run box, click OK.

Step 2.  On the coming User Account screen, uncheck the box which states 'Users must enter a username and password to use this computer' and apply the setting by clicking the Apply button.

Step 3. You will be requested for the username and password of the account you wish to automatically logon as showed as the following screenshot. Type and confirm the password on the Automatically Log On window.

Step 4. Click OK to close the Automatically Log On window, and then click OK to close the User Accounts window.
Warning: You can set automatically logon in your Windows XP computer if there are no any important or private files on your computer. But for your working or personal computer that stores many confidential files, it’s highly advised you to password protect your computer with a strong login password and create a Windows password reset disk to in case that you may forget Windows XP password in future.
