1. Ask your system administrator for the password. This option only works if you’re not the system administrator yourself.
2. Try your best to remember your password and call for where it has been stored if you are the administrator. This is the easiest way to get back your password. If you calm down and sit quietly, you may be able to remember the password.
3. If you have ever created a password hint or Windows password reset disk before, it is easier and faster to get the forgotten Windows admin password back as soon as possible.
4. Sign in without using a password. This option only works in Windows XP and is only useful if you have your password saved somewhere on your hard drive. To log in, click the Ctrl-Alt-Del keys twice when you reach the Windows welcome screen. Type “Administrator” in the “Name” field and leave the “Password” field blank. Press “Enter,” and you will be logged into the computer as an administrator.
5.Change or reset the forgotten Windows password with another available admin account and password. This will allow you to change the password for the account you can’t find. Once logged in, click “Start” and then “Run.” Type “control userpasswords2.” Press “Enter.” Select your administrator account and then “Reset Password.” Create your new password, and click “OK.”
6.Take a third-party Windows password recovery tool if no other option works for your situation. There are many tools available, such as Ophcrack , Windows Password Unlocker software. They are high quality and efficient to reset Windows password in a short time.
